The Bay and Algoma Neighborhood is excited to announce the fifth annual Bay and Algoma Buskers Festival. The two-day festival takes place over the weekend of July 29th and 30th and once again is located in the Bay and Algoma Neighborhood. Featuring over 40 performers rotating through 10 stages located on Upper Bay Street and Algoma, this year’s festival has familiar favourites as well as some new surprises.

We have lots of exciting new additions for the weekend including a long table pancake breakfast in front of the Hoito to celebrate Finnland’s 100th birthday! The festival draws in more than 5,000 attendees over two days of closed street celebrations and is again partnering with the DefSup Die Active Y’ART Sale to create a arts filled urban landscape.
The Bay & Algoma Buskers Festival is looking for new and exciting acts and vendors for this year’s event!
The absolute backbone of the festival. We have many volunteer positions available and will have stocked refreshments for all volunteers for both days.
Please submit an application with a description of your act and availability. As we have limited space for performers we will be contacting our 2017 artist roster by June 24th. All submissions welcome!
The Bay & Algoma Buskers Festival gears to provide festival goesrs with a vast array of food for all tastes – from carnival favourites like cotton candy, to wonderful ethnic food from around the globe.
Sell your wares right in the middle of the festival. Vendors are assigned 10 x 10(ish)areas on both Bay St. and Algoma St. It’s a market atmosphere and festival goers come ready to shop!
