The Girl Behind The Camera

I’m a mother of two living and doing photography in Thunder Bay, ON.
I’m shy but I love being around people (extroverted introvert?), I love being around my friends and family, I love to laugh, I love being inspired by my surroundings, I love riding my bike, I like being creative with my photos – my goal is to tell a story through imagery, I like things with a retro or vintage feel. I’m nostalgic and sentimental as helllllllll.

I attended Fanshawe College for Fine Art and followed that with Photography and graduated the program in 2010. I have been shooting professionally since.

My style could be described as a mix of candid/photojournalistic/modern.

I love the thought that a photograph preserves an exact moment in time. Time passes too fast, it’s nice to have a tangible, visible memory. I think that’s very special. Without photos as a record, would you remember your child’s face when they were a baby? Do you remember what your parents looked like at 30? What traces of your grandparents are there if they are gone? Photography is a gift.
